Amelia Illustration was founded in 2018 by artist Amelia Perera. Amelia produces original pet portraits and designs animal-themed stationery and homeware in her home studio in Hertfordshire. 

 

Her illustrations depict animals in playful scenarios, such as dogs in clothes and frogs holding balloons. Intricately drawn in pen, ink and watercolour, Amelia’s passion for drawing is fuelled by her love of animals and her childhood travels to Sri Lanka, where she witnessed an array of wild animals including elephants, dolphins, peacocks and alligators. 

 

After graduating from her degree in Art and Design at the University of Leeds, Amelia began taking commissions for pet portraits. Inspired by the special bond we have with our pets, Amelia works closely with her customers to produce a portrait that captures their pet’s unique character, serving as a timeless keepsake which can be cherished for years to come. 

 

Alongside her portraits, Amelia designs collections of greetings cards, wrapping paper and tea towels which she sells online and in several shops around the UK and abroad. All of the products are made proudly in England using the finest quality papers, inks and materials. ​​

In her spare time Amelia enjoys nature walks, yoga and taking her kids to the Zoo!
